Cynthia, as I recall, you have always been that person. Your job just took priority - and you were really good at it. Depression was part of the journey to where I am now, and philanthropy helped relieve some of the guilt, resulting in some of the depression. I am really happy to see you still thriving. And thank you for being here with me. ;)
I enjoyed your well written article on retirement. My personal experience has differed slightly but definately included "who am I now?"
My journey included a year of depression. Not fun, but gave me time to discover the new me and insight as to what really matters in my life without a title and responsibility.
What has made a difference in my journey and many a friend and family member is "giving back". Philanthropy (when money is available) and volunteering to help
my community. How can I make a difference before my journey ends?
I encourage all to help in any way possible as there are so many people and valuable organizations in need. It's given my life purpose again!
